Need subtitles? Free Chrome guideDesktop captions · optional English translation

Use Chrome’s built-in caption tools on a computer. No extension or website subscription is needed.

  1. Open Chrome’s menu → Settings → Accessibility → Live Caption and turn it on. On Linux, open Captions under Accessibility first.
  2. Under Manage languages / Add languages, download the video’s spoken language if it is listed. Select that language as the Preferred caption language. Unsupported spoken languages cannot be captioned with this tool.
  3. Play the video with its volume on. Chrome displays detected speech in a movable caption bubble. Drag the bubble to keep the movements visible.
  4. For English translation, turn on Live Translate if it appears in the same settings and choose English under Translate to. Available languages and features depend on your device and Chrome version.

These are automatic browser captions, not subtitles checked by an instructor. Speech, martial arts terms and translations may contain errors.

Live Caption processes audio on your device. If you enable Live Translate, captions are sent to Google for translation.

Tai Chi sword — Rain-courtyard demonstration

One representative recording of a solo sword demonstration in a wet courtyard. Five other supplied music/edit versions are retained privately as alternatives, rather than presented as five additional lessons. This source is a performance reference, not a verified step-by-step sword course.

Use suitable training equipment in a clear space with qualified supervision. Keep other people away from the movement area. Videos support observation and do not replace individual coaching.
